2020 Scholarship Awardees

SPARK has awarded more than $55,000 in scholarships for the 2020 school year.
These funds were distributed to 38 seniors attending 20 schools, colleges or Universities across the US. Congratulations to these students, and the class of 2020! 

Chick-fil-A Prince William County Scholarship

This scholarship awards $4,000 to one PWCS graduating high school senior.

Dr. Edward L. Kelly Scholarship
This $1,500 scholarship is awarded to three graduating PWCS high school seniors who intend to pursue studies to enter the teaching profession.

Lockheed Martin Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Scholarship
These $1,500 scholarships are awarded to a graduating PWCS high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in a science, technology, engineering, or the mathematics field. The recipients will also be eligible to apply for a Lockheed Martin paid internship opportunity.

Micron Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship
These $1,000+ scholarships are awarded to graduating PWCS high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in a technology, engineering, or the mathematics field.

Austin Trenum Memorial Scholarship (Brentsville District High School)
This $1,000 scholarships is awarded to a graduating high school senior at Brentsville District High School.

David J Cobb Foundation Scholarship
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who plans to pursue a degree in the medical field.

JROTC Scholarship (Stonewall Jackson High School)
This $500 scholarship was awarded to a SJHS JROTC graduate.

Kathleen Getzewich Memorial Scholarship
The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a Prince William County graduating high school senior.

Ms. Lillian Orlich (Osbourn Park High School)
This scholarship is named after the former guidance counselor, Ms. Lilian Orlich, at OPHS. Annually, two $1,000 scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from OPHS.

These $500 scholarships are for Nursing Program graduates who plan to pursue their nursing education.

This $2,500 scholarship is awarded on behalf of the Prince William County Chamber.

Northern Virginia Community College Growing Our Own Scholarship
These $2,5000 scholarships are provided through partnership between the Northern Virginia Community College Education Foundation with the Prince William County Schools Growing Our Own program.

Nursing Scholarship
These $1,000+ scholarships are awarded to graduates of PWCS who participated in the Licensed Practical Nursing program and plan to continue their study in nursing.

Payton's Project- Free Bullying Scholarship
This scholarship awards $1,000 to eligible graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue studies at a higher learning institute.

Red Lawson Scholarship Program
These scholarships are awarded to graduates of` PWCS who completed a Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) sequence of courses and plan to pursue a Professional Certification, an Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree, or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree, or plan to pursue a CTE plan of study at a post-secondary institute. The recipients are:

Sara Lott Memorial Scholarship (Forest Park High School)
This $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior at Forest Park High School.

SPARK CTE – Welding
This $750 scholarship is awarded to a PWCS graduate of the Welding program through partnership with Dominion.

SRC - STEM Scholarships
These $1,000 scholarships are awarded by SRC Inc., to PWCS seniors who have participated in Robotics and STEM programs in high school, and plan to pursue a career in STEM.

Victor A. Cahoon Scholarship (Osbourn Park High School)
This $4,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School.
